The call for papers for the 8th International Conference on Cyber Conflict (CyCon 2016) is open until the end of the month. Original unpublished research related to cyber power is sought.
CyCon 2016 focuses on “Cyber Power.” A variety of actors are struggling to gain or maintain their position in the increasingly complex cyberspace. The ubiquitous use of information and communication technologies has had a profound influence on how these actors pursue their goals and interests. ‘Cyber Power’ is one of the core elements of relations between different stakeholders and the conference wishes to break ground on discussion as to how the traditional concept of ‘power’ may apply to cyberspace. In this context, the topics to be covered include international cooperation, technical challenges and requirements, conflict in cyberspace, legal framework, regulations and standards.
The International Conference on Cyber Conflict is organized annually by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence. CyCon 2015 focused on the “Architectures in Cyberspace” attracted over 500 participants from 40 countries. CyCon2016 takes place on May 31- June 3 2015 in Tallinn, Estonia.

Student awards seek novel and previously unpublished short papers which would provide an overview of a recent Master thesis in the field of cyber security. Students from various disciplines such as computer sciences, law and political sciences are invited to participate. The submission deadline for student awards is 21 March 2016.
